Vote Froglife at Waitrose

Froglife are pleased to announce that we have been nominated for the Community Matters scheme run by Waitrose. For the next four weeks Froglife will be one of the charities that customers in the Peterborough branchof Waitrose can support.
 
The Community Matters token scheme runs in every Waitrose store raising money for local good causes. 

• Customers are given a green token at the check-out which they can then donate to their chosen charity
• Please vote for Froglife by placing your token in the Froglife pot at the exit
• At the end of the four weeks Froglife will receive a share of £500 based on the number of tokens we receive.

The Peterborough store is located in the Queensgate ShoppingCentre, so if you are shopping in the city why not pop in and donate!  Please spread the word and ask your friends to help too.
 
And where does the money go?  Every donation we receive helps us to look after amphibians, reptiles, habitats and people too.  Smaller donations also act as match funding for our projects, enabling us to:

• Encourage people from all walks of life to take part in conservation
• Revamp and restore urban and rural landscapes for wildlife

• Support young offenders on our FACT project to create wildlife areas in the local community and improve biodiversity
• Provide training for people on our Wildlife Ambassadors project to get back into work or education
• Keep our volunteers happy and safe with refreshments and first aid kits for cold and muddy pond digging sessions
