Newt World in North Lanarkshire this Saturday!

Following lots of fun in Peterborough last weekend, Froglife will be at Palacerigg Country Park in Scotland this Saturday (17th of March) to wrap up our celebrations for National Science and Engineering Week.

The fantastic Wildife Ambassadors team taught lots of young people and families about the life of a newt - including the male animals’ funky dancing skills. We hope to share the newts’ incredible life story with even more people this coming Saturday, so do join us if you can. Conservation Youth Worker Rebecca Neal reminds us what the event promises...

“The mind-blowing interactive exhibition is called The Dragons Den: A Year in the Life of a Newt. In this total emersion experience you will don your very own newt tail and journey through newt world in character and learn about these strange animals as you go.

Can you win the heart of this lady newt with your newty dancing skills?
You’ll race across the hunting ground to avoid being eaten, you’ll search out some tasty invertebrates to eat and hide out under some giant leaves. The best bit though is the section where you’ll pretend to be a boy newt and dance to attract a lady friend. How often if a lifetime does an opportunity like that come along?”

Why not pop along to find out more?  You will find the Froglife team:

• At the Palacerigg Country Park Visitors Centre in Lanarkshire in Scotland between 11am and 3pm on Saturday 17th March

We hope to see you there!
